    Film background

'Lucifer' plot and success set the stage for 'Empuraan'

Released on March 28, 2019, Lucifer is a political action thriller directed by Prithviraj Sukumaran.

Starring Mohanlal as Stephen Nedumpally, the film explores a power struggle after a political leader's death.

This plot, rife with betrayals and conspiracies made Lucifer one of Malayalam cinema's biggest hits.

"So I can't tell you the entire story in part two, but you're going to get a lot more information about who and what these characters are in part two."

"And part two has its own plot."

The film also stars Manju Warrier, Tovino Thomas, and Abhimanyu Singh, among others.
