    What's the story

Samsung's Galaxy S10e continues to be one of the best-selling flagship phones of this year. And with the latest discounts, it has become more appealing than ever.

However, ahead of the launch of the OnePlus 7 series, OnePlus has reduced the prices of OnePlus 6T by upto Rs. 4,000, making it an option to consider over S10e.

    So, which one is better?

    Design

The<A href='https://www.newsbytesapp.com/news/science/samsung-galaxy-s10e'> Galaxy S10e model offers a less obtrusive punch-hole display with slim bezels, an all-glass body, dual rear cameras, and a side-mounted fingerprint scanner.

In comparison, the OnePlus 6T sports a waterdrop notch with a sizeable bottom chin, glass chassis, dual rear cameras, and in-screen fingerprint sensor.

The S10e also has IP68-rated build quality while OnePlus' offering lacks certified water resistance.

    Winner: Galaxy S10e.

    Display

    All about the screen

The OnePlus 6T sports a 6.41-inch full-HD+ (1080x2340 pixels) AMOLED display with an aspect ratio of 19.5:9.

On the other hand, the Galaxy S10e sports a 5.8-inch Dynamic AMOLED screen with a full-HD+ resolution, HDR10+ certification, and a peak brightness of 1,200 nits.

Winner: Galaxy S10e for its brighter and more vivid display.

    Rear camera

    For the shutterbugs

In the camera department, OnePlus 6T gets a dual-lens setup comprising a 16MP (f/1.7) main sensor, paired with a 20MP (f/1.7) secondary sensor and LED flash.

The Galaxy S10e also has a similar setup but with improved optics. It offers a 12MP (f/1.5-2.4) main sensor with dual-pixel OIS and a 16MP (f/2.2) ultra-wide angle sensor with a 123-degree field-of-view.

    Winner: Galaxy S10e.

    For the selfie lovers

Up front, the OnePlus 6T comes with a 16MP RGB sensor with an f/2.0 aperture. Further, this camera assists in Face Unlock feature as well. In comparison, the Galaxy S10e gets a single 10MP (f/1.9) camera with dual-pixel autofocus. Winner: Galaxy S10e for better optics.

    All the important stuff

The OnePlus 6T is powered by an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 processor, paired with 6GB/8GB of RAM and 128GB/256GB of non-expandable storage.

The Galaxy S10e, on the other hand, runs on the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 855/Exynos 9820 chipset. Further, it comes with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage (expandable upto 512GB).

    Sensors and software

    Lifeblood of your smartphone

Both the phones come with all the standard sensors including a gyroscope, accelerometer, proximity sensor, and an ambient light sensor.

However, the OnePlus 6T offers a more cool-looking in-screen optical fingerprint sensor whereas the Galaxy S10e gets a more practical side-mounted fingerprint sensor.

In terms of software, both the phones run their own forked versions of Android Pie.

Winner: You be the judge here.

    How much?

    Pricing: The Key factor

With the latest price cut, OnePlus 6T is available in India at a starting price of Rs. 34,999 for the base end 6GB/128GB variant and goes upto Rs. 41,999 for the top-end 8GB/256GB model.

The Galaxy S10e is available at Rs. 46,900 which includes a flat cashback of Rs. 5,000 and an extra cashback of Rs. 6,000 on using HDFC EMI transactions.

    Our verdict

    How things stack up?

Touted as last year's best Android smartphone, the OnePlus 6T is still relevant in Q2 2019. The successful blend of premium design and powerful performance will not disappoint.

That said, if you are eyeing the mid-end or top-end OnePlus 6T variant or some other smartphone around the Rs. 40,000 price point, invest a little more in something as unbeatable as the Galaxy S10e.
