    What's the story

OnePlus 6T Thunder Purple, the newest color variant of OnePlus's latest flagship, will go on sale in India today at 2PM via Amazon and OnePlus e-store.

It will also be available offline via OnePlus brand stores, Reliance Digital and Croma outlets.

OnePlus 6T Thunder Purple is priced at Rs. 41,999 and comes in a single 8GB RAM/128GB storage configuration.

    Here's everything to know.

    Information

About OnePlus 6T's new Thunder Purple color variant

The OnePlus 6T Thunder Purple will internally be same as the already available OnePlus 6T variants. However, this model will feature a dual-tone pink-purple to grey-black gradient glass back, making it the first-ever OnePlus smartphone to feature the in-trend dual-color finish.

    Freebies

OnePlus 6T Thunder Purple: Launch offers

HDFC Bank credit and debit cardholders can avail Rs. 1,500 cashback while Reliance Jio subscribers will get cashback vouchers worth upto Rs. 5,400 and upto 3TB of 4G data.

Further, buyers can opt for 3 months of no-cost EMI offers on Amazon.in and OnePlus exclusive stores, a 12-month free damage protection from Kotak Servify, and upto Rs. 500 discount on Amazon Kindle ebooks.

    Design

    OnePlus 6T: At a glance

To recall, OnePlus 6T features a downsized waterdrop-like notched display with a marginally slimmer bottom bezel as seen on the OnePlus 6, to boast an increased screen-to-body ratio of 86%.

With the new notch, the notification LED light has been killed.

On the rear, there's a dual-camera setup housed in a glass panel but no dedicated scanner - thanks to the in-display fingerprint sensor.

    Information

OnePlus's biggest-ever display protected by Corning's toughest glass available

OnePlus 6T sports a bigger 6.41-inch full-HD+ (1080x2340 pixels) AMOLED display, a taller aspect ratio of 19.5:9 with support for sRGB and DCI-P3 color gamuts. Notably, the display is protected by Corning's toughest-ever Gorilla Glass 6.

    Camera

For the shutterbugs and selfie lovers

OnePlus 6T sports a dual rear-camera setup comprising a 16-megapixel (f/1.7) main sensor, paired with a 20-megapixel (f/1.7) secondary sensor and LED flash - same as OnePlus 6.

However, the company has offered an improved Portrait mode and an all-new Nightscene which offers better images in low-light.

Up front, the 6T retains its predecessor's 16MP (f/2.0) RGB camera that assists Face unlock feature.

    Internals

    Under the hood

Internally, the OnePlus 6T is same as the OnePlus, except for a bigger battery and new OS.

It is powered by an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 processor, paired with 6GB/8GB of RAM and 128GB/256GB of non-expandable storage.

The phone packs 3,700mAh battery with support for 20W Dash Charge and runs Android Pie-based Oxygen OS 9.0.3 that offers revamped gesture-based navigation.
