    What's the story

ASUS has launched its high-end convertible laptop, the ZenBook 14 Flip OLED, in India at a starting price of Rs. 91,990.

The laptop is available in three configurations and each variant comes with a one-year international warranty.

It is currently available for purchase through Amazon, Flipkart, and ASUS e-shop as well as other authorized offline stores in the country.

    Context

    Why does this story matter?

While OLED screens have become common on smartphones, the majority of laptops still come with LCD screens. ASUS wants to capitalize on this segment by introducing new laptops with OLED screens.

Recently, we saw the Vivobook 13 Slate OLED and now we have the ZenBook 14 Flip OLED, which is touted to be the world's slimmest 14-inch convertible laptop with an OLED display.

    Design and display

The screen supports 90Hz refresh rate

The ASUS ZenBook 14 Flip OLED can be used as a laptop or tablet and can even be propped in several positions thanks to its 360-degree hinge. The chassis and lid of the device are built with lightweight, diamond-cut aluminum alloy.

The device has a 14.0-inch 2.8K (2880x1800 pixels) 10-bit OLED touch display with a 90Hz refresh rate and a peak brightness of 550-nits.

    Internals

    It runs on Windows 11

The ASUS ZenBook 14 Flip OLED is based on Windows 11 and is available in three models.

The base variant draws power from AMD Ryzen 5 5600H processor and has 16GB RAM and 512GB SSD storage.

The mid- and top-end models come with Ryzen 7 5800H and Ryzen 9 5900HX chipsets, respectively, along with 16GB of RAM and 1TB of SSD storage.

    Nitty-gritty

The device has an HD webcam with privacy shutter

ASUS ZenBook 14 Flip OLED is equipped with two USB 3.2 Type-C ports, one Type-A port, an HDMI 2.0 port, a 3.5mm audio jack, and a micro-SD card reader. For wireless connectivity, it provides support for Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth 5.0.

The device also offers an HD webcam with a privacy shutter, Harman Kardon sound system, and a 63Wh battery with 100W fast-charging support.
