Kangana v/s Alia: Kangana's sister calls Alia, her mother non-Indians

    What's the story

The ongoing war of words between the Bhatts and the Ranauts refuses to cease.

On Sunday, Kangana Ranaut's sister and manager Rangoli Chandel called out to Alia Bhatt and her mother Soni Razdan, terming them "non Indians who are living off this land."

Soni has finally reacted to the constant verbal attacks by the two sisters at Alia, and questioned Kangana's agenda.

    Interview

Alia admitted she doesn't hold an Indian passport

Rangoli's latest attack probably came after Alia admitted in a recent interview that she wouldn't be able to vote as she's a British citizen and doesn't hold an Indian passport.

The same issue lies with Soni, who had also received flak on Saturday after she had tweeted about one Junaid Khan who was "killed by a mob on a train for being a Muslim."

    Social media

Junaid wasn't killed because he was Muslim, Soni stands corrected

While social media was quick to correct Soni saying that Junaid was killed "in a quarrel over seat (in train)," Rangoli did not leave any chance to launch a fresh salvo on the mother-daughter duo.

On April 14, she took to Twitter that it is "time to think about their agenda and not to get carried away with their provocations."

    Twitter Post

Time to think about their agenda, tweets Rangoli

These non Indians who are living off this land, using and abusing its people and its resources, lying about intolerance and spreading hatred, time to think about their agenda and not to get carried away with their provocations. https://t.co/FAwHChqopC

Soni questions Kangana's agenda for attacking Mahesh Bhatt's daughter, wife

After remaining silent for two days, Soni finally responded to Rangoli's allegations yesterday night.

In a now-deleted tweet, she apparently had written, "Mahesh Bhatt is the man who has given her a break ... she goes on to attack his wife and daughter. What is left to be said then about abusing and hatred I wonder. Apart from character of course. Agenda? What's hers?"

    Details

Rangoli gives timeline of the entire Mahesh Bhatt-Kangana fiasco

    Rangoli did not keep silent.

She retorted saying that it was not Mahesh, but Anurag Basu who gave Kangana a break.

Also, when Kangana refused "to do a film written by him (Mahesh) called Dhokha where he wanted her to play a suicide bomber he got so upset that he threw a chappal at her at the Woh Lamhe preview," Rangoli wrote.

    Twitter Post

'Mahesh Bhatt never gave her a break, Anurag Basu did'

Dear Soni ji, Mahesh Bhatt never gave her a break, Anurag Basu did, Mahesh Bhatt ji works as a creative director in his brothers production house....(contd) @Soni_Razdan https://t.co/SD22ztrQ29

    Twitter Post

Please note, he doesn't own that production house, Rangoli informs

(Contd).... please note that he doesn’t own that production house, after Woh Lamhe when Kangana refused to do a film written by him called ‘Dhokha where he wanted her to play a suicide bomber he got so upset that he not only shouted at her in his office..... (contd) @Soni_Razdan

    Twitter Post

"Mahesh Bhatt threw chappal on her during 'Woh Lamhe' preview"

.... but later when she went for Woh Lamhe preview to a theatre he threw chappal on her, he didn’t allow her to see her own film, she cried whole night .... and she was just 19years old . @Soni_Razdan

    Information

Don't wish to be drawn into this madness, Soni replies

Soni, in an interview to Pinkvilla, responded to the allegations saying that she does "not wish to be drawn into this madness." Earlier too, she had appealed to #VoteOutHate on Twitter, when she was attacked for being a British citizen residing in India.

    Twitter Post

'We are all human beings first, citizens of the world'

Urging people to vote against hate has nothing to do with citizenship and everything to do with being a human being. We are all human beings first and citizens of the world we live in. Secularism and democratic principles are values and it’s those that I stand for. #VoteOutHate

    Support

Meanwhile, Randeep Hooda extends support to his 'Highway' co-actor

Meanwhile, Alia has found support in her Highway co-actor Randeep Hooda, who lauded her composure against the attacks "of very occasional actors and chronic victims," possibly hinting at Kangana.

Rangoli, of course, did not sit back and lashed out against Randeep, calling him a "permanent failure," and accusing him of harassing Kangana during Ungli and bootlicking Karan Johar during its filming.

    The start

Kangana's attacks started after Alia didn't show support for 'Manikarnika'

To recall, Kangana started her attacks when Alia didn't show support to the former after the release of Manikarnika: The Queen of Jhansi.

"I reached out to Alia and asked her what makes her think Manikarnika is my personal controversy, it's a film whole nation is talking about and wondering why Bollywood is keeping quiet on such a relevant work," Kangana had said then.

    Attack

Kangana had also called Alia a puppet of Johar

Since then the Gangster actor and her sister were persistent in attacking Alia, calling her a 'puppet' of producer Karan Johar, and a 'mediocre' actor.

To this, the Gully Boy actor responded, "I respect Kangana's work a lot and I respect her opinion. If she feels a particular way she must have reason to feel that way. I'd just like to focus on work."

    Quote

Would rather remember her compliments, Alia on Kangana's barbs

Alia also pointed out how Kangana praised her for Raazi and called her the 'undisputed queen' of Bollywood. "I would rather remember how much she had praised me after watching Raazi. Maybe she will appreciate me again if I work hard enough," she said.

    Dig

Earlier, Kangana called Ranbir and Alia 'irresponsible'

Interestingly, this isn't the first time when Kangana took potshots at Alia.

Earlier, she had called out both Alia and her boyfriend Ranbir Kapoor for not voicing their opinions on national issues, and called them "highly irresponsible."

To this, Alia stated that she prefers keeping her opinions to herself as there are so many opinions already doing the rounds in the world.
