Surprisingly, even after break-up, Ranbir and Deepika continued to be 'good friends'.
Hence, Ranbir's absence in 'close friend' Deepika's wedding reception raised many eyebrows. But, Deepika maintains she wasn't surprised by his absence.

Ranveer-Deepika's month-long wedding celebration was a starry affair
To recall, Ranveer and Deepika, who got married on November 14 and 15 at Italy's Lake Como, had a month-long celebration.
The couple hosted three reception parties for B-town and had a galaxy of stars marking their presence - Bachchans, Khans, Katrina Kaif, Farhan Akhtar, Kareena Kapoor, Tiger Shroff, to name a few.
However, Ranbir and his lady love Alia's absence caught everyone's fancy.
Deepika's statement
I haven't spoken to Ranbir post-reception: Deepika
Talking about the same, Deepika said that while she hasn't spoken to Ranbir post-reception, she isn't surprised by his absence as 'that's how he is'.
"We spoke before the reception but we have not spoken after. But, that's him. I'm not surprised. But, that's the relationship we share and that's its beauty; so much is said without saying much at all," she added.
The reason
What's the 'real' reason behind Ranbir's absence?
While a lot has been said about Ranbir not attending ex-girlfriend Deepika's reception, it is reported that it was his work commitments that kept him at bay.
According to a Pinkvilla report, Ranbir-Alia were busy shooting for Ayan Mukerji's Brahmastra.
The reports suggest they even did a 20-hour shift on December 1. As a result, they chose to give DeepVeer's reception a miss.
