    What's the story

Bollywood's #MeToo movement has got the nation talking these days, and for right reasons.

However, actor Adhyayan Suman has taken a jibe at the campaign, saying when he revealed his #MeToo story two years ago, he was shamed and humiliated because it was about a man calling out a woman.

Notably, Adhyayan had accused Kangana Ranaut of abusing him physically, emotionally and mentally in 2016.

    Statement

"A person with failed career cannot share his painful experience"

Sharing his views on #MeToo, Adhyayan took it to Twitter and wrote how his painful story was suppressed and he was judged for his professional failure.

"I was clearly told that a guy with a failed career doesn't have the right to share his painful and dark experience," he wrote.

He also mentioned the humiliation he and his family had faced back then.

    Allegations

Backstory: Adhyayan accused Kangana of physical and mental abuse

The 'Raaz 2' actor had created a buzz in the town in 2016 when he made shocking revelations about Kangana.

Adhyayan alleged that Kangana slapped him during a party which was the beginning of physical abuse.

"The intensity of the slap was so hard I was almost crying," Adhyayan added.

He also claimed that Kangana forced him to do drugs.

    Message

Hope the victims are not judged like me: Adhyayan

Further, Adhyayan said the ongoing #MeToo movement is giving a chance to all the victims who were suppressed for a long time. They can now speak up about their horrifying experiences.

He also said that given the attention this campaign is getting, it is likely the victims would get their due closure without being judged like he was.

Well, we hope the same, Adhyayan.
