Now, case filed against makers of 'Batti Gul Meter Chalu'
What's the story
Just when it seemed that 'Batti Gul Meter Chalu' has overcome its share of bad luck, a fresh trouble has arisen for the Shahid Kapoor and Shraddha Kapoor starrer.
A legal notice has been sent to writers Siddharth-Garima and director Shree Narayan Singh by Vipul Rawal, the writer of Akshay Kumar's 'Rustom'.

Vipul has accused the creative team of copyright infringement
Vipul, in his complaint that he filed with Film Writers Association (FWA), mentioned that he had registered a story called 'Roshini' in 2009.
Then, in 2017, he signed a contract with KriArj Entertainment and thus, 'BGMC' was announced.
"Shree wanted certain changes in my screenplay so he employed writers of his choice. The pre-production started and the dates for shooting were locked," he said.

He got offended when his name wasn't there in credits
Vipul further stated in his report, "When the first teaser came out, my name wasn't mentioned anywhere. Instead, it boldly proclaimed, 'From the writer and director of 'Toilet: Ek Prem Katha'. Immediately, I sent multiple emails to the producers, who assured me that the issue will be rectified at the earliest."
He also contacted Shree for the rectification but nothing worked for him.

Here's what Vipul's lawyer Rohini Vakil had to say
"We've sent a legal notice to them and a public notice will also be published on Saturday. I want my client's right to be protected. 'BGMC' is from the writer of 'Rustom' and not 'Toilet Ek Prem Katha' as claimed in the teaser," said Rohini.
Background
This is the second hurdle for 'BGMC'
The shooting of 'Batti Gul Meter Chalu' was interrupted earlier pertaining to non-payment of dues by KriArj Entertainment.
However, Bhushan Kumar of T-Series came to the film's rescue and took it over from Prernaa Arora's banner.
Besides Shahid and Shraddha, 'BGMC' also features Yami Gautam and is slated to hit the screens on August 31.
