    What's the story

Besides Ranbir Kapoor's uncanny resemblance to Sanjay Dutt in 'Sanju', it is the stellar star cast of the film that has raised the excitement levels.

Director Rajkumar Hirani recently revealed that Aamir Khan was also in talks for being a part of the film.

The superstar was meant to portray Sanjay's late father Sunil Dutt.

    However, things didn't materialize.

    Details

Hirani reveals what stopped Aamir from coming on-board

While talking to a magazine, Hirani said, "Aamir is a friend. Any script I write, I bounce it to him. When I narrated 'Sanju' to him, he loved it and said 'I should also do something in it'."

"Then I said, do this. But he was already doing the role of an elderly man in 'Dangal' (2016) around the same time," Hirani added.

    That's why he didn't come on-board.

    Context

Meanwhile, Ranbir's 'Sanju' avatar is wooing everybody

The teaser and posters of 'Sanju' have left cine buffs in awe of Ranbir. The Kapoor lad is being hailed for his brilliant Dutt act unanimously.

Besides Ranbir, the film also stars Anushka Sharma, Sonam Kapoor, Paresh Rawal, Boman Irani, Dia Mirza, Manisha Koirala, Karishma Tanna, Vicky Kaushal, Jim Sarbh.

    Information

'Sanju' will be out next month

The life story of the 'Khalnayak' actor will unfold on the big screen on June 29. Sanjay has seen the bits and pieces of the film and is mighty impressed with Ranbir's work.
