'Baahubali 2' has surpassed these Aamir Khan starrers in China

    What's the story

'Baahubali 2', after a splendid run across the globe, is trying its best to win over the Chinese audience at the moment.

So far, the SS Rajamouli's magnum-opus has raked in Rs. 63.19 crore in the neighboring country and has crossed the lifetime total of two Aamir Khan starrers - '3 Idiots' and 'Dhoom 3'.

    Here are the details.

    Details

'3 Idiots', 'Dhoom 3' did reasonable business in China

Aamir's '3 Idiots' and 'Dhoom 3' were among the first Indian films to hit the Chinese box office. Both the films raked in around $3 million on their release. The collection of '3 Idiots' were hugely affected by piracy.

Mr. Perfectionist's popularity gradually increased in China with the release of 'PK' and then 'Dangal'.

    Context

However, 'Baahubali 2' is unlikely to beat 'Dangal'

The Prabhas starrer has had an underwhelming run in China, so far, and is unlikely to zoom past the worldwide collection of 'Dangal'.

On the back of its tremendous run in China, Aamir's wrestle drama went on to become India's highest-grossing film ever. It amassed a massive Rs. 2,025 crore globally, with more than Rs. 1,272 crore coming in from China.

    Information

The 'Baahubali' series has failed to woo the Chinese audience

Both the 'Baahubali' films could not set the Chinese box office on fire. 'Baahubali: The Beginning' had only raked in close to Rs. 8 crore, and now, the sequel also has not performed well either.
