    What's the story

    The 6km elevated section of Master Plan-2 road from Vishwa Bharti School to Uflex intersection will officially be opened for the masses on Wednesday.

    The four-lane road will significantly reduce travel time during office hours and drive through Noida's main arterial road will no longer be an ordeal.

    The 17km road from Uflex to Ashram will be signal-free.

    MET Dept: Delhi to get rain for next 7 days

    The MET department has forecasted showers for the next seven days in the national capital, starting from Monday night.

    According to officials, monsoon will get established by Wednesday after a few spells of rain.

    MET officials said this is due to the northwest movement of low pressure over Bay of Bengal and its interaction with the advancing western disturbance.

    Four men rob Rs. 37 lakh from Flipkart delivery center

    Four masked men allegedly forced their way inside the delivery center of Flipkart in Dilshad Garden, held the staff and guard hostage and looted Rs. 37 lakh at gunpoint.

    They barged inside the centre when counting of cash was going on.

    On their way out, the men took the DVR that had CCTV footage in it.

    The police have registered a case of robbery.

    Parking to get costlier at Delhi's Connaught Place

    According to Delhi's new parking policy, people will have to cough up more money for parking at Connaught Place.

    At present, a parking fee of Rs. 20/hour is levied for first five hours, followed by current cap of Rs. 100 for any time beyond that. As per new policy, people will now have to pay Rs. 20 for every extra hour beyond five-hour limit.

    Noida Authority seeks suggestions to make amends in building bylaws

    With the intention of creating a hassle-free environment that lets industrialists and entrepreneurs set up their business, the Noida authority is seeking objections and suggestions to a proposal that will simplify the approval process for layout maps of industrial plots.

    The last date for their submission is July 5.

    As per earlier building bylaws, the authority granted instant approvals to layout maps.

    Health officials bust an illegal sex determination racket

    A joint team of Sonipat and Ghaziabad officials raided a clinic and busted an alleged illegal sex determination racket being run at the clinic in Loni.

    Based on a tip-off, the officials had sent a decoy customer to the clinic where an untrained staff performed the procedure.

    According to officials, middlemen send people to such clinics and get paid Rs. 15,000-20,000 for it.
