    'Discrepancies of Rs 27 crore n AAP's donation records': IT

    What's the story

    IT department has found discrepancies in audit reports of AAP donations of up to Rs 27 crore.

    It said there were factual discrepancies between the records and the actual funds received in 2013-14 and 2014-15.

    Arvind Kejriwal has alleged it's a trick by PM Modi to "deregister the winning party 24 hours before elections" in Punjab and Goa.

    Child labour

    Minor factory workers beaten with hammers, worked for 22 hours

    26 boys from Bihar were rescued from a jeans factory in Delhi's Seelampur.

    They were forced to work for 22 hours on one meal a day, and brutalized with hammers and cutters for six months. They were confined in one room since months.

    Six of them escaped and were seen near Anand Vihar railway station. A raid was launched based on information they provided.

    Gurugram

    DJ Prydz's Gurugram concert called off after Section 144 imposition

    After imposition of section 144 in Gurugram over the Jat agitation, organizers have cancelled Swedish DJ Eric Prydz's February 12 concert. His Pune concert on February 10 is still on.

    VH1 has assured full refunds, or a three-day pass to the Pune concert in lieu of a one-day pass to the Gurugram event.

    Furious fans have urged transferring the venue to Delhi or Noida.

    Robbery

    Delhi bikers arrested for robbing 300

    Three 'stunt' bikers, who had robbed 250-300 people in 18 months, have been arrested from Shahdara.

    The youngsters started by practising snatching ice creams from 'dummy' targets. They also uploaded videos of their bike stunts on YouTube.

    Their targets include Sharmila Rai, a 40-year-old beautician who received brain injuries while resisting their attempt, and Jairam Sahu, an ONGC scientist who lost important data.

    Noida

    Damaged Noida pipelines lead to overflowing water on roads

    Damaged pipelines in three Noida sectors have led to knee-deep water on the roads.

    The Ganga Jal pipeline near Block C (Sector 57), the pipeline in front of B-20 (Sector 92), and one before the Sector 50 metro station have been damaged for two weeks.

    The old drains are in need of repairs. However, the Noida Authority has failed to work on the complaints.

    Toddler takes Delhi school to NGT over pollution

    21-month-old Arshia Khatri, along with her mother and grandmother, has taken DAV Public School of Ashok Vihar Phase IV to the NGT for causing pollution.

    The area has been declared a silent zone because of the school, but they have alleged the school disturbs peace with loudspeakers, whistles, bells and more.

    Many locals including Arshia are allegedly suffering from irritability and sleep disorders.

    JNU

    JNU Professor in trouble over 'anti-national' remarks

    Jodhpur-based Jai Narain Vyas University has registered a complaint against JNU's Political Science Professor Nivedita Menon for 'anti-national' remarks at a seminar. An internal enquiry has been ordered.

    A complaint has also been lodged against organizing secretary Raj Shree Ranawat.

    Students and ABVP activists protested against Menon for disrespecting the national flag and anthem at the seminar organized by Jai Narain's English department.

    Gurugram traffic

    Gurugram residents can complain of traffic violators on WhatsApp, email

    Gurugram residents can now click photos of vehicles of traffic violators and their number plates, and email (pcbranchggm@gmail.com) or WhatsApp (9999981800) them to the police.

    Police will send challans to the violators within a week. If they fail to respond, they will be served summons.

    Traffic police now have e-challan branches at Old Police Commissionerate, Manesar, and Traffic Tower in Sushant Lok.

    Bhojpuri films

    Delhi's first ever Bhojpuri film festival kicks off

    Delhi's first ever Bhojpuri Film Festival opened at Siri Fort Auditorium in the presence of actor and state BJP chief Manoj Tiwari, and Union Minister Rajyavardhan Rathore. 'Ganga Maiya Tohe Piyari Chadhaibo' was screened.

    Industry stalwarts including event ambassador Ravi Kishan, Tinu Verma and more attended.

    The three-day event till February 5 will see exhibitions, cultural programmes, and screening of 10 movies.
