    Airtel extends free Amazon Prime offer to new broadband customers

    What's the story

    Expanding its Amazon Prime offer to more customers, Bharti Airtel is now offering the free annual membership with Rs. 799 broadband plan as well.

    So far, the telco had been offering this benefit with broadband plans starting at Rs. 999.

    Further, the offer is also available for Airtel's postpaid subscribers with plans starting from Rs. 399.

    What do you get with the Rs. 799 broadband plan?

    Airtel's Rs. 799 broadband plan offers 100GB monthly data at upto 40Mbps.

    You will also get bonus data of upto 1,000GB (valid till March 31, 2019), data rollover benefit, and unlimited local and STD calls.

    Like mentioned before, the plan also includes a free one-year subscription to Amazon Prime membership worth Rs. 999.

    The benefits of this plan depend on your city/region.

    Apart from early access to Amazon's sales and deals, Prime members also get unlimited and free priority shipping, along with complimentary access to Prime Video, Prime Reading as well as ad-free music streaming on Prime Music.

    Process

    How to redeem the free Amazon Prime membership?

    You can redeem the free Amazon Prime membership via the Airtel TV or My Airtel app.

    On the Airtel TV app, click on the Amazon Prime banner on the home screen and follow steps to claim free membership.

    On the My Airtel app, click on 'Airtel Thanks' banner and then on 'Amazon Prime' membership option to redeem your free Prime membership.

    Other benefits

    Airtel also offers free 3-months free Netflix subscription

    Back in August, Airtel had partnered with Netflix to offer its postpaid and broadband subscribers, free access to the streaming giant's content.

    Currently, the premium postpaid plans, starting at Rs. 649, offer free access to Netflix (basic plan) for 3 months along with several data and call benefits.

    Likewise, Airtel's broadband plans, starting at Rs. 999, come with a free 3-month of Netflix subscription.

    Competition

    Vodafone and BSNL also offer free Amazon Prime membership

    In comparison, Vodafone offers free annual Amazon Prime membership under its RED postpaid monthly plans of Rs. 399, Rs. 499, Rs. 999, Rs. 1,299, Rs. 1,999 and Rs. 2,999.

    Further, the state-run telco Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) has also recently started offering free Amazon Prime subscription with all its postpaid and broadband landline plans starting at Rs. 399 and Rs. 749, respectively.
