    Veteran batter Virat Kohli is set to feature in his 18th Indian Premier League (IPL) season for Royal Challengers Bengaluru.

    Days after winning the ICC Champions Trophy, Kohli will have his eyes on another silverware.

    Kohli finished the 2024 IPL season with a staggering 741 runs at 61.75, bagging the Orange Cap.

    He now eyes several milestones in the impending season.

    Kohli eyes 13,000-run mark in T20s

    During the impending season, Kohli could become the first-ever Indian with 13,000 runs in T20 cricket.

    In a career spanning 17 years, the 36-year-old has racked up 12,886 runs at an 41.43.

    Chris Gayle (14,562), Alex Hales (13,610), Kieron Pollard (13,537), Shoaib Malik (13,492), and David Warner (12,913) are ahead of Kohli in terms of T20 runs.

    400th T20 cap loading for Kohli

    As of now, Kohli has featured in 399 T20 matches for Delhi, India, Indians, and RCB. He is set to become the third Indian with 400-plus appearances in T20s, after Rohit Sharma (448) and Dinesh Karthik (412).

    Kohli closes in on 100 fifties, 10 tons

    In the upcoming season, Kohli could become the second player with 100-plus half-centuries in T20 cricket.

    Kohli, with 97 fifties, is only behind Warner as of now.

    The Indian batter could also become the third player to smack 10 centuries in T20s. He (9) is behind Gayle (22) and Babar (11).

    Rohit follows Kohli among Indians with eight tons.

    Kohli aims to surpass Warner

    Kohli is set to surpass Warner in terms of fifty-plus scores in the IPL. Kohli has 63 such scores compared to the former Aussie batter (66). Notably, Warner could not find a franchise in the IPL 2025 mega auction.

    Other notable records Kohli can set

    Kohli could also become the second player with 60-plus half-centuries in the IPL. He (55) is behind Warner (62).

    In 2024, Kohli became the second player with 700 IPL fours. He could now overtake former batter Shikhar Dhawan's tally of 768 boundaries.

    Kohli could also become the second player to bag the Orange Cap thrice, after Warner. The former won in 2024 and 2016.
