    What's the story

South Africa secured a semi-final spot in the 2025 Champions Trophy with a dominant seven-wicket win over England.

The victory was powered by an all-round team effort, including 64 off 56 balls from Heinrich Klaasen.

His knock not only sealed the win but also placed him among Proteas batters with the most consecutive 50-plus scores in ODIs.

Here's a look at the elite list.

    5 - Jonty Rhodes (2000-01)

Former South African middle-order batter Jonty Rhodes earned his spot on this list with five consecutive fifty-plus scores during the 2000-01 season.

As per ESPNcricinfo, his streak began with a 69 against New Zealand in 2000.

He then added four more in the ODI series against Sri Lanka, with a highest score of 75*.

Notably, he remained unbeaten in two of those innings.

Quinton de Kock his five 50-plus scores in 2017 during South Africa's bilateral series against Sri Lanka and New Zealand.

He started his streak with a fifty (55) against Sri Lanka in the 4th ODI and then hammered 109 in the 5th ODI.

His next three fifty-plus scores came against New Zealand in the first three matches of the 5-match series (69, 57, 68).

    5 - Quinton de Kock (2019)

Wicketkeeper-batter de Kock makes this list again for his five consecutive fifty-plus scores in 2019.

His streak began with an 83 against Pakistan in the 3rd ODI of a bilateral series.

He then carried his form into the Sri Lanka series, scoring 4 successive fifty-plus scores in the first four ODIs.

    His scores in the 1st 4 matches read 81, 94, 121, and 51.
