    What's the story

Indian cricket captain Virat Kohli has a loyal fan base. He is liked by cricket fans all over the world.

The record-breaking batsman celebrated his 30th birthday on November 5.

Kohli is in news again but not for his on-field achievements.

Interestingly, the star player made a bizarre statement and that didn't go well with many fans, who trolled him.

    Here's more.

    Unexpected

Kohli makes the bizarre statement during promotional video

Kohli recorded a video in order to promote his newly launched app, 'Virat Kohli Official App'.

In the promotional video, Kohli was seen stating that fans, who do not support the Indian cricket team should go and live in another country.

This comment was made when he was reacting to mean tweets.

Someone had commented that they enjoy watching England and Australia batsmen more.

Where is Kohli's sense of humor?

Kohli read out a tweet that said: "Over-rated batsman and personally I see nothing special in his batting. I enjoy watching English and Australian batsmen more than these Indians."

Kohli's reply to the same was shocking. "Okay, I don't think you should live in India then. You should go and live somewhere else. Why are you living in our country and loving other countries?"

    Quite a valid point!

Much the same way people of Indian origin in Australia and England cheer for India whilst enjoying the perks of being citizens of those countries. What say @imVkohli ? Please ask all NRIs to support the baggy green on your tour to Australia next month https://t.co/ZPlLWmohc9
