    Ireland's all-rounder Simi Singh is currently facing serious health issues, as confirmed by the Irish cricket board on Thursday.

    The 37-year-old cricketer has represented Ireland in 35 ODIs and 53 T20Is, primarily as a spin bowler and lower-middle order batter.

    His most recent appearance for Ireland was at the ICC T20 World Cup in Australia in 2022.

    Cricket Ireland CEO extends support to Singh

    Cricket Ireland CEO Warren Deutrom expressed his shock at the news of Singh's health crisis, stating that he is "currently dealing with life-threatening health circumstances."

    Deutrom extended his best wishes and prayers on behalf of Cricket Ireland and the wider Irish cricket community.

    He highlighted Singh's significant role in Irish cricket at all levels since his move to the country.

    Singh's cricketing career and achievements

    Singh has a commendable record in both ODI and T20I cricket.

    He has taken 39 wickets in ODIs at an average of 25.92 and an economy rate of just 3.99.

    In T20Is, he has managed to claim 44 wickets at an average of 27.84, maintaining a an economy rate of 7.61.

    Singh, who hasn't played Test cricket for Ireland, owns 27 wickets in First-Class cricket at 25.25.
