Liverpool win 5-1 against Arsenal: Here're all the records broken

    What's the story

Liverpool are proving on every match-day why they deserve to be the table-toppers, dishing out inspired performances one after the other.

Last night saw them rip apart the Arsenal defense and put five past Bernd Leno, after conceding a goal first.

Firmino scored a hat-trick as Salah and Mane netted one goal each to get the job done.

    Here are the records broken.

    Records

The highest-scoring EPL fixture in history

Arsenal vs Liverpool is now the highest scoring fixture in EPL history, with 155 goals so far.

Arsenal have now conceded four goals before halftime for the fourth time in EPL history. Liverpool are responsible for two such occasions, while Manchester United and Chelsea have contributed once each.

The Gunners have now lost 10 of their last 12 away games to the 'Big Six' of the EPL.

    Records

    Further records by the Scousers

Since December 30, 2017, this was the first time when Liverpool were trailing at Anfield.

Liverpool are now 31 games unbeaten at Anfield, their joint-longest unbeaten home run. Between December 2007-August 2009, Liverpool were also 31 games unbeaten at Anfield.

With his goal last night, Mohamed Salah has now become the joint-highest EPL goalscorer of this season, at par with Arsenal's Aubameyang and Tottenham Hotspur's Harry Kane.

    Firmino

What records did Roberto Firmino script with his incredible hat-trick?

Showing exemplary team spirit, Salah, who usually takes Liverpool's penalties, gave his place to Firmino to help the Brazilian get his hat-trick.

Firmino has now been involved in 11 goals in eight matches against Arsenal.

His hat-trick was the sixth one in this particular fixture, the highest in EPL history.

Firmino is the third Brazilian after Robinho and Alfonso Alves to score an EPL hat-trick.

    League table

How has the league table shaped up?

Liverpool have gained quite an advantage in the league table, which has been helped by the fact that Tottenham lost their game against Wolverhampton last night.

Klopp's team are now nine points clear on top of the table while second-placed Tottenham are at 45.

Manchester City are one point behind Spurs and can edge past any day now.
