    What's the story

Xiaomi is all set to launch the Redmi 6, Redmi 6A, and Redmi 6 Pro smartphones in India on September 5.

And given these phones have already been launched in China, we have a fair understanding about what to expect from these smartphones.

Now, in the build-up to the launch, Xiaomi has started teasing the features of Redmi 6-series phones in India.

    Here's our roundup.

    Design

At a glance: Redmi 6, Redmi 6A, Redmi 6 Pro

The Redmi 6A and Redmi 6 sport traditional displays with prominent edges on all sides whereas the Redmi 6 pro gets a notched display.

On the back, the Redmi 6 sports a horizontally-positioned single rear camera whereas the Redmi 6A gets a similarly positioned dual rear camera setup.

The Redmi 6 Pro, on the other hand, sports a vertically-stacked dual rear-camera setup.

Here's the specsheet of Redmi 6A

The Redmi 6A gets a 5.45-inch HD+ (720x1440 pixels) display with an aspect ratio of 18:9.

The phone is powered by a quad-core MediaTek Helio A22 processor, coupled with 2GB RAM and 16GB internal storage (expandable up to 256GB).

The Redmi 6A offers a 13MP rear camera, 5MP front camera, runs Android Oreo-based MIUI 9, and packs a 3,000mAh battery.
