    What's the story

After months of testing, Xiaomi has finally released the Poco Launcher for all Android smartphones. So far, it was a Poco F1 exclusive UI.

The launcher is now available for download via Google Play Store and Mi Apps store.

The new launcher comes as part of Poco F1's custom MIUI for Poco OS and offers a clean interface.

    Here's more about it.

    New look

Here's what you get with Poco Launcher

The Poco Launcher features an app drawer with a clean-looking home screen, support for third-party icon packs, search feature with app recommendations, icon color categories, and faster animations.

Further, the launcher borrows Quick Setting tiles and app icons from Android Oreo's stock version.

Notably, the Poco Launcher also allows you to keep apps private, and lets you group apps based on their categories.

    Information

Poco Launcher is compatible with Android Lollipop and above

The Poco launcher (version 2.6.0.6) is now available on Google Play Store and Mi Apps store. The launcher has a file size of about 16MB (device dependent) and is compatible with all the smartphones running Android Lollipop 5.0 and above.

    Design & Display

Poco F1: The phone that popularized the Poco Launcher

Up front, the Poco F1 features a notch-based display with a slightly wider cut-out and a prominent bottom bezel.

On the back, the phone gets a polycarbonate panel which houses a dual rear-camera setup and a fingerprint sensor.

The Poco F1 sports a 6.18-inch full-HD+ (2246x1080) display with 500-nits brightness, 403ppi pixel density, and is protected by a curved Gorilla Glass 3.

    Camera

For the shutterbugs and selfie lovers

    The Poco F1 features a rear dual-camera setup comprising a 12-megapixel (f/1.9) Sony IMX363 sensor with 1.4-micron pixel and dual-pixel autofocus, paired with a 5-megapixel (f/2.0) secondary depth sensor.

Up front, there's a 20-megapixel camera with support for AI-based Portrait mode and Scene detection with India-specific optimizations.

The primary camera can shoot 4K videos at 30fps and slow-mo in 720p/1080p at up to 240fps.

    Internals

    Under the hood

The Poco F1 is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 processor with dedicated LiquidCool Technology, paired with 6GB/8GB of RAM and 64GB/128GB/256GB of inbuilt storage (expandable up to 256GB).

The phone runs MIUI for Poco - a customized version of MIUI 9.6 which is based on Android Oreo 8.1.

Further, the Poco F1 packs a 4,000mAh battery with support for Quick Charge 3.0.
