    What's the story

    The much-awaited OnePlus 6 smartphone will launch in India on May 17 (3pm IST) at an official event in Mumbai.

    Interestingly, fans can attend the launch event too, and the company started selling entry vouchers for the same to the general public from May 8 (10am IST) on its website.

    However, not even a day has passed and the tickets are already sold out.

    Attend the launch event for Rs. 999

    Priced at Rs. 999, the entry passes are bundled with a OnePlus voucher worth Rs. 999, a cash cannon, company-branded tote bag and notebook, and Marvel merchandise like Marvel Avengers Cap and Marvel Avengers T-shirt.

    A "notify me" button is still active on the website so you can register and be notified via e-mail in case the passes go on sale again.

    Experience OnePlus 6 hands-on at pop-up stores

    The flagship phone will exclusively start selling on Amazon at 12 pm IST on May 21 only for Prime members.

    OnePlus will also hold an exclusive pre-sale of the smartphone in India via pop-up stores on May 21-22 across eight cities.

    The phone will reportedly be priced at Rs. 36,999 for the 64GB storage variant and Rs. 39,999 for the 128GB variant.

    What is expected out of the phone

    OnePlus 6 will reportedly sport a 6.2-inch Full HD+ display with a wide-screen aspect ratio of 19:9, 16MP + 20MP dual rear cameras, a 20MP front camera, and a 3,450mAh battery.

    It will feature three variants with expected pairings of 6GB RAM/64GB, 8GB RAM/128GB, and 12GB RAM/256GB.

    It will run the Android Oreo-based Oxygen 5.1 OS and be powered by a Snapdragon 845 processor.

    OnePlus will feature iPhone X-like notch

    The upcoming phone will feature a notch that can be hidden, a 3.5mm headphone jack, a bottom bezel, 4K video recording capability, and IP68 water resistance.

    It will have OnePlus's biggest screen with a 90% screen-to-body ratio.

    It will come in black, blue and white color options and will have an all-new glass/ceramic back panel.

    An Avengers-themed OnePlus 6 variant

    The company has partnered with Marvel Studios to bring out an Avengers-themed OnePlus 6 variant. This exclusive model will supplement release of the 'Avengers: Infinity War' movie in India. It is expected to debut around the same time as other models.
