'Made in India' iPhone 13 likely to arrive in April

Seven months after it was introduced in India and other markets, Apple is likely to start manufacturing the iPhone 13 at the Foxconn plant in Sriperumbudur near Chennai from April, according to Business Standard.
The production of the handset was slated to start from January. However, due to the protests in December 2021 by women workers regarding food poisoning, Apple had suspended production plans.

Why does this story matter?
Apple has started manufacturing in India to avoid heavy import tariffs and in turn, reduce the prices of its products by more than 20%. It is, however, unlikely that we may see a sizable price-drop on the locally-made iPhone 13.
Apple is considering to bolster its production strategy in India and produce devices in the country for both local sale as well as exports.

The iPhone 13 has a wide notch concealing the Face ID setup, an IP68-rating for dust and water resistance, and ceramic glass protection.
The handset bears a 6.1-inch Full-HD+ (1170x2532 pixels) Super Retina XDR display with a 460ppi pixel density and 1,200-nits of peak brightness.
It is offered in Midnight, Blue, Pink, Green, and (PRODUCT)RED color options.
