    What's the story

    Google has finally unveiled its latest flagship smartphones - the Pixel 3 and Pixel 3 XL.

    Both the phones retain the dual-tone matte finish but with glass on the back.

    Further, they come in three new colors - Just Black, Clearly White and Not Pink.

    Both the phones feature bigger screens, improved cameras and louder front-firing speakers than their predecessors.

    Google Pixel 3, Pixel 3 XL: Specsheet

    The Pixel 3 features a 5.5-inch full-HD+ OLED display with 443ppi pixel density and 18:9 aspect ratio.

    The Pixel 3 XL sports a 6.3-inch full-HD+ OLED notched display with 523ppi pixel density and 18.5:9 aspect ratio.

    Up front, both the phones come with Gorilla Glass 5 protection, dual selfie cameras while on the back, there's a single camera, LED flash and fingerprint sensor.

    On the back, both phones sport a single 12.2-MP sensor with dual-pixel technology, an f/1.8 aperture, OIS+EIS and in-built spectral + flicker sensor. Up front, both the phones have an 8-MP (f/1.8) wide-angle camera and an 8-MP (f/2.2) telephoto camera.

    The Pixel 3 cameras now come with a host of software-powered features such as Top Shot, Super Res Zoom, and Night Sight

    Top Shot automatically captures alternate shots in HDR+ to offer you the best shot, Super Res Zoom uses burst mode to merge several pictures and offer sharper zoomed images (Use case: when you are clicking pictures in concerts).

    Further, Google Lens now comes integrated directly into the camera.

    Google Pixel Stand announced

    Google Pixel 3, priced at $799, can be pre-ordered starting now. Google has also announced Pixel Stand - a wireless charger for the Pixel 3 phones. The Pixel Stand, alongside charging, offers Google Home features, an alarm clock, and others at $79.

    The Pixel 3 phones are powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 processor, paired with Adreno 630, Pixel Visual Core and Titan M security module for end-to-end encryption of data.

    Both the phones come with 4GB RAM, 64GB/128GB storage options and run Android Pie 9 out-of-the-box.

    Further, both phones pack 2,915mAh battery, support 18W fast charging and Qi wireless charging standard.

    Pricing, Availability and launch offers

    In India, Google Pixel 3 and Pixel 3 XL will start at Rs. 71,000.

    Both the phones will be exclusively available via Flipkart and will be up for pre-ordering starting October 11.

    As for launch offers, HDFC Bank cardholder will get a discount of Rs. 5,000.

    Further, Flipkart is offering upto Rs. 4,000 discount under an exchange offer, no-cost EMI offers and guaranteed buyback.
