    What's the story

Apple has announced the dates for its annual Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC) in 2025.

The event will be held from June 9-13 at Apple Park in Cupertino.

The first day will see a keynote hosted by CEO Tim Cook, which will be live-streamed online on various platforms.

Tech enthusiasts can look forward to the latest software updates for the iPhone, iPad, Apple Watch, Mac, Vision Pro, and Apple TV.

    Highlights

What to expect from WWDC 2025?

This year's keynote is likely to unveil iOS 19, iPadOS 19, macOS 16, tvOS 19, watchOS 12, and visionOS 3. The event will also feature online sessions and labs where developers can test new software before it reaches end users.

    iOS 19

Exciting new features in iOS 19

The iOS 19 will likely sport a redesigned interface, providing a cohesive look throughout Apple's ecosystem.

The update could improve customization capabilities by bringing Focus Modes into the Control Center, expanding widgets and smarter suggestions.

A major highlight will be a visionOS-inspired overhauled Camera app with fluid controls for Photo and Video modes.

    AI features

Apple intelligence and Siri enhancements at WWDC 2025

WWDC 2025 could also be all about Apple Intelligence features, which were talked about last year but have still not been implemented.

The company is said to be struggling to roll out these AI-powered facilities due to problems with Siri enhancements.

Apple's roadmap for Siri's evolution could be clarified at the conference, as the new iOS is expected to come with major updates for Siri.

    macOS 16

macOS 16 and potential touchscreen support

The interface updates for iPhone and iPad are likely to carry over to Mac with macOS 16.

The speculation of a touchscreen Mac continues, albeit it may not be until 2027.

If Apple is really working on touch support for Macs, macOS 16 could show the first signs of such a transition, perhaps unveiled at WWDC 2025.

Finally, watchOS 12 is tipped to introduce more health-tracking facilities.
