    What's the story

In a move that has raised eyebrows, police at UP CM Yogi Adityanath's rally were seen making a woman remove her burqa.

The woman is seen smiling as two female cops stand beside and talk to her.

Police have said they would look into it, clarifying they had orders to remove black flags.

But the woman said it's no big deal.

    What happened?

Saira is seen sitting among audiences at Adityanath's Ballia rally. In the video, she is removing her burqa as female cops look on.

She first removes a saffron scarf and then the burqa, revealing a saree below.

After she's removed it, a male officer arrives and takes away the burqa. He is heard admonishing a journalist recording the incident: "What man, you too?"

The woman didn't mind, but cops have assured an enquiry

Ballia SP Anil Kumar assured an enquiry: "So far, I haven't received any report. We had instructions that there should be no black flags shown. One cannot forcibly make anyone remove a burqa."

But Saira, a BJP supporter, didn't mind. "It was black. Perhaps there's some kind of a ban."

"My husband has been with BJP for a decade. It's okay, let it be."
