8 foods you should never feed your dog

    What's the story

We get it if you want to share all your delicacies with your dog, after all who can say no to that cute little creature? But know that it's not always a wise thing to do.

Your doggy would easily swallow anything you give it, but it might lead to some serious health problems.

Here are 8 foods you should never feed your pooch.

    #1,2

    Chocolate and Avocado

Chocolate: You might think a sweet little treat won't do much harm to your doggy, but theobromine, found in most chocolates could lead to vomiting, diarrhea, dehydration, or in more extreme cases- seizures, tremors, or even death.

Avocado: Before putting avocado in your doggy's plate, note that a substance present in it called persin can cause vomiting and diarrhea.

    Information

    #3: Dairy foods

Slipping cheese into your doggy's mouth might be causing it more harm than good. Unlike us, dogs lack the enzyme needed to break down milk sugar. That's why dairy can cause vomiting, diarrhea, and gastrointestinal diseases. Moreover, many dogs are naturally lactose intolerant.

    #4,5

    Caffeine and Alcohol

Caffeine: Even if you want your dog to be sharp and active, caffeine is still not the answer. Dogs are way more sensitive to stimulants like these, than we are. Hence, no tea and coffee for your mate.

Alcohol: If your dog gulps some of your beer or wine, it may cause diarrhea, coordination-problems, breathing issues, coma, and even death. Hence, be careful.

    #6,7

    Excessively salty and sugary foods

Salty foods: Eating too much salt could be detrimental for your little friend. It is known to cause diarrhea, high body temperature, bloating, and seizures. So, keep that bucketful of salt-loaded popcorn to yourself.

Sugary foods: This stands true both for yourself and your dog. Too much of sugar may lead to dental issues, obesity, and diabetes. Hence, eliminate it from your dog's diet.

    Do you know?

    #8: Raw meat and eggs

Some people tend to believe that they should give their dog a diet rich in 'raw' foods, especially raw meats and eggs. However, fact is that the presence of bacteria like salmonella or E. coli in these items can cause food poisoning in dogs.
