    What's the story

    Delhi University offers a plethora of short-term add-on courses that are aimed at adding that "extra" edge to the regular degrees, keeping affordability and availability in mind.

    Most colleges offer add-on courses in foreign languages, media and communications, and photography. A lot of new courses like actuarial science, web designing, gender studies, and operational research are also gaining momentum among students.

    Guidelines

    Your admission guide for add-on courses in DU

    The minimum eligibility criteria for admission to DU's add-on courses is a 10+2 level examination.

    Cost of form and information brochure ranges from Rs. 50-100 and can be purchased from the concerned college.

    Each course has a minimum intake of 30-50 students and admission is offered on a first-come, first-served basis.

    The course fee ranges from Rs. 15,000-30,000 for a duration of 3-5 months.

    Language courses

    Language courses offered by DU colleges

    DU offers language courses in French, German, Italian, Russian, Mandarin, and Spanish at certificate, diploma and the advanced diploma level.

    St. Stephen's College, Jesus & Mary College, DCAC College, Gargi College, Hindu College, Kamala Nehru College, Daulat Ram College, Hansraj College, Miranda House, Sri Venkateswara College, College of Vocational Studies and Bharati College offer such courses.

    The course fee ranges from Rs. 10,000-15,000.

    Advertising, Marketing

    Advertising & Marketing communication courses in Delhi University

    Courses in advertising and marketing communications offer an insight into corporate communications as an area of discipline.

    These courses enable you to work with advertising agencies as copywriters, graphics and interactive designers, art directors, and executive communication analysts.

    Hansraj College, Jesus & Mary College, and Gargi College offer these courses for a duration of 6 months; they are priced between Rs. 10,000-15,000.

    Mass Communication

    Add on courses in Mass Communication and Journalism

    DU colleges also provide short-term courses in mass communication, media studies, photography, and web journalism. These courses offer an insight into the dynamics of media-related industries and open career avenues in reporting, editing, photography, content writing, and production.

    These courses are offered in Hansraj College, SGTB Khalsa College, and Jesus & Mary College and Miranda House.

    Fee for these courses ranges between Rs. 15,000-30,000.

    Banking, Finance

    Add-on course in Banking and Financial services in Delhi University

    This course is perfect for students looking forward to enhancing knowledge in banking and finance.

    It includes a wide range of topics like Financial Markets, Investment Banking, Portfolio Management, Derivatives: Future and Options, Capital Structure Decisions, Financial Services, Mergers and Acquisitions, Risk Management, and International Finance.

    Priced at Rs. 15,000, the course is offered by JMC and Gargi College for six months.
