    What's the story

A video of a middle-aged man dancing to Govinda and Neelam's song 'May se Meena se na Saqi se' has gone viral on the Internet.

The man, whose dancing skills perplexed netizens, is 46-year-old Sanjeev Shrivastava, an assistant professor at a private engineering college in Bhopal. The woman shaking a leg with him is his wife Anjali.

    Here is his story.

    His story

A dancer since 1982, Shrivastava considers dancing a God gift

Telling his story, Shrivastava revealed he considered dance a God-gifted talent and has been dancing since 1982.

His mother Mohini Devi Shrivastava, a classical dancer, inspired him.

"I won Madhya Pradesh's best dancer award three times in the eighties in competitions held in Bhopal," the man, who hailed from Vidisha district, told.

Apparently, he never took any formal training in dance.

    The ecstasy

Obviously, Shrivastava is grateful to the one who uploaded video

Shrivastava was performing at his brother-in-law's wedding in Gwalior on May 12, when someone recorded the act and uploaded it on social media.

"I don't know who he is but I am really grateful to him," he said.

The man of the moment said his phone has been buzzing since. He said the idea of uploading a performance never struck him.

    Quote

Dancing on stage is not new for Shrivastava

"I have performed hundreds of times at umpteen number of places free of cost as part of several dance and theatre groups and also as a special invitee on auspicious occasions in Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra and several others states," Shrivastava told HT.
