    What's the story

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has reportedly instructed its schools to put-off classes for Standard XI till the board results for Standard X are announced.

If reports are to be believed, CBSE wants to make sure that the teachers are available for evaluation process, which began last week.

CBSE is determined to bring out the board results tentatively by May 10.

CBSE has given strict instructions regarding evaluation process

The schools were earlier instructed to keep their teachers free for evaluation and make sure that they punch-in 8-hours a day without fail for the same.

In a circular released, last week, via CBSE's app, Shiksha Vani, the board has given strict guidelines for examining the board papers of 2019.

CBSE has taken all these steps to complete the board evaluation process quickly.

CBSE to fine schools in case guidelines not followed

The evaluation is expected to go on for 20 days. Further, the schools will also have to pay a fine of Rs. 50,000, in case they fail to abide by the orders. Repeated failures can lead the board to take action regarding the school's affiliation.

    Context

Earlier, Delhi HC had instructed CBSE to announce results sooner

Last year, the Delhi High Court had instructed CBSE to announce the board results early and complete the reassessment requests before the beginning of the Delhi University's admission process.

In order to achieve that, CBSE started Class XII exams from February 15 this year.

The board results were announced on May 26 last year, creating problems for students seeking re-evaluation before admission in DU.

Meanwhile, some media reports also suggest that Delhi University is trying to get access to the students' database from CBSE.

DU is also planning to ease down the hustle for both students and the admission committee by bringing down the paperwork during the admission process.

The online registrations for all undergraduate, post-graduate, M.Phil and PhD courses will tentatively start from April 15.
