    AIIMS

    All India Institute of Medical Sciences, New Delhi

    Often cited as the number one medical school in various surveys, the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) is truly the premier school for medical training and research in India.

    Unlike most schools, AIIMS conducts its own entrance exam. Admission to this coveted institute are based on the scores in that entrance test.

    The basic fees for MBBS is around Rs. 1,600/year.

    MAMC

    Maulana Azad Medical College, University of Delhi

    Another much sought-after government medical college in Delhi is the Maulana Azad Medical College (MAMC).

    Affiliated to the University of Delhi, the school offers graduate-level MBBS course, post-graduate degrees in MS, and MD, and speciality fellowship degrees of MCh and DM.

    MBBS admissions are offered based on the performance in the NEET exam.

    The fees for the five-year MBBS course is Rs. 2,500/year.

    LHMC

    Lady Hardinge Medical College for Women, New Delhi

    Located in the heart of the capital city, century-old Lady Hardinge Medical College is a coveted medical school, affiliated to the University of Delhi.

    The school is associated with two hospitals, namely- Smt. Sucheta Kriplani Hospital and Kalawati Saran Child Hospital.

    Admissions are offered based on the scores in the NEET exam.

    The fees is around Rs. 10,000 for the whole five-year MBBS program.

    UCMS

    University College of Medical Sciences, DU

    The 1971-born University College of Medical Sciences is another top-class DU-affiliated medical school in Delhi, located in the Dilshad Garden area.

    The Guru Teg Bahadur Hospital serves as the associated teaching hospital for the college.

    Various courses offered are five-year MBBS, BSc, MSc, and a PhD program.

    NEET scores are the criteria for admission, and the annual MBBS fees is around Rs. 18,000/year.

    VMMC

    Vardhaman Mahavir Medical College, IP University

    Attached with the popular Safdarjung Hospital for professional teaching assistance, the Vardhaman Mahavir Medical College, is a top-notch medical school in Delhi, under the aegis of the Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University.

    Courses offered include MBBS, MD, MS in various disciplines.

    Admissions to MBBS are granted based on the performance in NEET exam.

    Further, the fees for the MBBS course is around Rs. 33,000/year.
