On Friday, Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah enthusiasts were taken aback by reports of actor Gurucharan Singh's disappearance.
Renowned for playing Sodhi in Asit Kumarr Modi's beloved show, Singh departed from the sitcom in 2020.
As authorities work to locate him, a close friend named Ms. Soni has reportedly disclosed that "the actor was unwell for several days" and had recently undergone medical tests.
Per reports, Singh was last seen on April 22.

Expressing deep concern, Soni informed Pinkvilla, "His parents are worried and have filed a missing report in Delhi. I tried to file one in Mumbai as well, however, since he hasn't returned back a complaint cannot be filed here."
She further added, "Gurucharan ji's health also hasn't been keeping well...Before leaving for Delhi, his blood pressure was high and he had undergone a few tests as well. He wasn't even eating much before he left for Delhi."

Missing report detailed Singh's last known whereabouts
On Friday, Singh's father lodged a missing complaint, which read, "My son Gurucharan Singh, Age: 50 years, had left Delhi at 8:30 am on 22nd April to go to Mumbai. He went to the airport to catch a flight. He didn't reach Mumbai, neither has he returned home and his phone is not reachable."
"He is mentally stable and we had been searching for him but now he has been missing," it further read.

'Police are trying to get his call records': Insider
Per News18 Showsha, Singh's missing complaint was filed in the Palam area of New Delhi.
A police source reportedly revealed, "Police are investigating the case. No FIR has been filed as of now...All investigation is being done based on the missing complaint."
Shedding light on Singh's last known whereabouts, the insider added, "He was last spotted near Delhi airport. Police are now trying to get his call records to know who he last spoke to on call or via message."
