The undisputed, reigning king of Indian comedy, Kapil Sharma might greet us sooner than we thought.
The Kapil Sharma Show went on a seasonal break recently to perform comedy shows in North America and Canada.
While it was earlier expected that it will be a while before Sharma knocks on our doors again, recent reports suggest that he may return as soon as September!

Sony TV's The Kapil Sharma Show started in 2016 and has been a fan favorite ever since.
Now, it's an unspoken rule for actors to promote their films on the show to appeal to a larger audience.
Several A-listers like Anil Kapoor, Salman Khan, and Kamal Haasan, among others, have graced Sharma's couch over the years.
Athletes and entrepreneurs have also appeared on TKSS.
Comeback
Show's last episode featured ' JugJugg Jeeyo' cast
As per a Tellychakkar report, the show is aiming to wrap up its commitments abroad and light up our screens in September.
If this plan pans out accordingly, it will massively delight the audiences who have been sorely missing Sharma and the trademark antics of his team.
To recall, the last episode of the show featured the cast of Raj Mehta's JugJugg Jeeyo.
Cast additions
New faces to grace the show soon?
From September onwards, we may also see some new cast additions.
Presently, Kiku Sharda, Krushna Abhishek, Sumona Chakravarti, Chandan Prabhakar comprise the ensemble, while Bharti Singh and Rajiv Thakur have also appeared in some episodes.
Though the new names are yet to be unveiled, it'll be interesting if any of the previous members embellished the show again, such as Upasana Singh or Ali Asgar.

'The Kapil Sharma Show' was replaced by 'India's Laughter Champions'
Sony TV had tried to fill the void left by The Kapil Sharma Show with another comedy show India's Laughter Champions.
Judged by comedy veterans Archana Puran Singh and Shekhar Suman, the show is hosted by Rochelle Rao.
Notably, Puran Singh and Suman had earlier judged Comedy Circus, too.
The program aims to hunt for India's upcoming standup comedians and airs on the weekends.
