#PulwamaRow: Navjot Singh Sidhu clueless about being sacked from 'TKSS'?

    What's the story

The Kapil Sharma Show is back in the news this time because of Navjot Singh Sidhu, who has, reportedly, been sacked from the show.

The decision came after Sidhu stirred controversy over his debatable remarks on the Pulwama attack.

While the news came as a shock to his fans, Sidhu claimed that he is unaware of this development on TKSS.

    Here's more.

    Controversy

Sidhu's statement invited severe backlash, show makers took action immediately

It all started after Sidhu Pulwama-attack/story">spoke about the gruesome attack in Pulwama and said, "Terrorism has no religion, no nation".

His statement irked the netizens who not only slammed Sidhu for his remarks but also demanded his ousting from TKSS.

In fact, hashtags #boycottSidhu and #boycottkapilsharmashow were also trending massively on Twitter.

Following the controversy, TKSS makers decided to sack Sidhu from the show.

    Replacement

Archana Puran Singh to replace Sidhu on 'TKSS'?

Media reports also suggested that makers were in no mood to bring back Sidhu and had decided to replace him permanently.

It was reported that Archana Puran Singh would be replacing Sidhu on TKSS and she has already begun shooting for the show.

In fact, a promo of TKSS also went viral on social media where Kapil was seen welcoming Archana on the show.

    Twitter Post

    Statement

Meanwhile, Sidhu wasn't intimated about his removal from the show

Meanwhile, Sidhu released a statement about his 'apparent' termination from TKSS and asserted that he received no notification about being replaced.

"I had to attend Vidhan Sabha's session due to which I couldn't shoot for TKSS and they got somebody else in my replacement for two episodes. If it is regarding my statement, I will stick to what I have been saying," he added.

    Denial

Also, Archana denied replacing Sidhu on 'TKSS'

On the other hand, Archana also denied replacing Sidhu 'permanently' on TKSS.

Furthermore, the actress clarified that she had shot for two episodes of TKSS, but that was before Pulwama attack on February 14.

"I got to know from the media that this is happening. I'm yet to get any official communication from the channel and creative heads of the show," Archana told HT.

    Mystery

Is Sidhu getting replaced or not? No one knows apparently

Interestingly, not just Archana or Sidhu, but TKSS cast is also not clear about the new development on the show.

Comedians Sumona Chakravarti and Bharti Singh, who play key roles on TKSS, also expressed skepticism over Sidhu's removal.

The ladies asserted that their team isn't aware of Sidhu's replacement as of now and it is the channel that would take the final call.
