    What's the story

Pop sensation Taylor Swift has once again surprised her fans by releasing the Dombresky remix of her hit track I Can Do It With a Broken Heart on Friday.

This move comes after a busy week for the 34-year-old singer, which saw her endorsing Kamala Harris for the 2024 presidential election and winning a record-breaking seven awards at the 2024 MTV VMAs, held on Thursday (local time).

    Chart performance

'I Can Do It...' achieves chart success

I Can Do It With a Broken Heart, the second single from The Tortured Poets Department, debuted and peaked at No. 3 on the Billboard Hot 100.

It also reached No. 5 on the Billboard Global 200 chart and made it to the top 10 in several countries including Australia, Canada, Ireland, New Zealand, the Philippines, Singapore, the UK, and the US.

The remix is now available to stream.

    Album success

Swift's album ties with Jay-Z for remarkable record

The Tortured Poets Department has been a commercial triumph, further establishing Swift's dominance on the Billboard charts.

The album, which is her 14th No. 1, puts her on par with Jay-Z for the most No. 1 albums by a solo artist.

With only The Beatles ahead of her with 19 No. 1s, Swift continues to set new records while venturing into fresh creative domains.

    VMA success

Swift's remarkable win at the 2024 VMAs

At the 2024 Video & Music Awards held at UBS Arena in New York, Swift bagged an incredible seven trophies, including Video of the Year for Fortnight, a track from The Tortured Poets Department featuring Post Malone.

This achievement brings her total number of Moon Persons to 30, tying her with Beyoncé as the top winner in the show's history.

Meanwhile, Swift surpassed the previous record of 26 'solo' wins held by Beyoncé.
