The buzz around Imtiaz Ali's next project is at an all-time high.
The yet-to-be-titled film, reportedly starring Diljit Dosanjh, Vedang Raina, and Naseeruddin Shah in pivotal roles, has yet to finalize its leading lady.
Now, a report states that Ali has chosen actor Sharvari for his upcoming period romantic film.
A source close to the development told Pinkvilla that Ali was looking for a talented actor and found Sharvari to be the perfect fit.

The insider said, "Imtiaz wanted to cast someone who is a talented actor and felt Sharvari is best for the part."
"The industry feels Sharvari has the potential to make it big from her generation and she tick-marked the bucket list of Imtiaz Ali to be a part of his next directorial. The yet-to-be-titled period love story is set to go on floors in April," revealed the source.

Sharvari to share the screen with Raina in romantic film
In the upcoming film, Sharvari will reportedly be opposite Raina and will be the only female lead.
The source further added that the story has several character arcs and Sharvari will be seen sharing screen space with Raina in this soul-touching romantic film.
"It's a different take on romance from everything done by Imtiaz to date, and the pre-production work has already begun," shared the insider.
Other projects
Ali's other projects include 'Idiots of Istanbul'
Apart from this period love story, Ali is also directing a feature film Idiots of Istanbul with Triptii Dimri and Fahadh Faasil, which will go on floors later this year.
He is also a part of a production headlined by Avinash Tiwary and Aditi Rao Hydari.
The project is said to go on floors on February 26, reuniting Ali and Tiwary, who had previously collaborated on Laila Majnu (2018).
