    What's the story

The 2024 hit film Shaitaan, starring Ajay Devgn and R Madhavan, is reportedly getting a sequel.

The script for Shaitaan 2 is currently being developed, sources close to the project told Pinkvilla.

The production timeline will be determined after the script is finalized by the filmmakers and Devgn.

This development comes as franchise films continue to gain popularity among audiences worldwide.

    Franchise success

    Devgn's successful franchise projects

Devgn has successfully led multiple film franchises across various genres, including action, drama, romance, and comedy.

This achievement sets him apart as the only Indian actor to do so.

His successful franchise projects have kept fans engaged and eagerly awaiting his characters' next appearances.

Devgn recently wrapped up filming for Singham Again, which features a star-studded cast and is set for a Diwali 2024 release.

    Future projects

    Devgn's upcoming film projects

Devgn has also begun shooting for Son of Sardaar 2 alongside Mrunal Thakur.

This film, presented by Jio Studios and Ajay Devgn Ffilms, was uniquely announced with Punjabi dhol beats and has started production in the UK.

Additionally, Devgn will be filming multiple schedules for De De Pyaar De 2 and Son of Sardaar 2 from June.

He has also completed shooting for Raid 2, which features Vaani Kapoor and Riteish Deshmukh in key roles.

    Raid 2

'Raid 2' plot and Devgn's upcoming film lineup

In Raid 2, Devgn reprises his role as senior income tax officer Amay Patnaik.

The plot is based on a real-life raid case in Uttar Pradesh involving a UP politician-businessman accused of tax evasion exceeding ₹100 crore.

The post-production for this film is currently in progress. Devgn's film lineup for the next two years also includes ongoing development for Dhamaal 4, Golmaal 5, and Drishyam 3.
