    Delhi during Diwali feels different. Days before the festival, the city is decked up in shimmering lights and there's nothing but excitement all around.

    Of the many things that locals look forward to during this time are the beautifully curated melas where everything from street food and games to shopping and entertainment come under one roof.

    Visit these Diwali melas in Delhi this year.

    Mela 1

    Blind School Diwali Mela

    It's an annual affair for the Blind Relief Association to host a Diwali mela and each year, it witnesses a massive footfall.

    Here, you can shop for festive stuff like lights and candles, or for clothes, home decor products, accessories, etc.

    The mela marks its last day on November 9, so make the most of it. Timings are 10:30 am to 8:00 pm.

    Mela 2

    Dastkar: Festival of Light

    This is among the biggest Diwali melas where artisans from 26 distinct states of India come together and offer their unique spread of products for shopping.

    There are cultural performances, exhibitions, street food, and so much more for your entertainment.

    Head over to this place between 11:00 am and 7:00 pm before it closes on November 7. The entry fee is Rs. 40.

    Mela 3

    Dilli Haat Diwali Bazaar

    Dilli Haat, the popular cultural hub in Delhi, is also organizing a mela-cum-bazaar this festive season until November 12.

    Shopaholics and foodies will have a great time here as they can get their hands on an array of products from different states in the country.

    Parking could be a problem, so it is advised to use public transport if you are coming over.

    Meal 4

    Green Park Diwali Mela

    This mela features tempting street food, diverse shopping stalls, colorful light decorations, and cultural performances for entertainment. The nearest metro station is Green Park on the Yellow Line.

    This Diwali Mela is more than a market; it's a festive tribute to tradition and unity.

    Both kids and adults can enjoy swings and participate in various games to win cool prizes.
