Ranbir talks about marriage rumors, relationship with Alia, and more

For Ranbir Kapoor, who is in news for his relationship with Alia Bhatt, there is only so much one should talk about personal life.
He said speaking a lot about it leads to work taking a backseat.
In an interview with HT, Ranbir said he knew his relationship with Alia was out in the public domain, but he maintained he doesn't like to talk about it a lot.

Saying he wasn't playing hide and seek (now that everyone knows about the relationship), Ranbir said, "I am in a happy, positive and beautiful phase of my life."
He went on to say talking a lot about personal life means it has become a forerunner, and not work.
However, he said he does understand people's interests in his personal life.

"You want to give the relationship respect so that people don't malign it in a gossipy way. It is something beautiful, sacred and really important to you, so you want to deal with it in a nice manner," Ranbir added.

Unsurprisingly, Ranbir and Alia's next level (read marriage) has been talked about a lot, but the former has set there aren't any plans as such.
Ranbir said marriage will happen naturally when he and his partner are ready, and both should feel it's the right phase.
"I haven't decided on marriage yet," Ranbir quipped.

Moving from personal life, Ranbir explained he was in awe of Alia's work. The duo is uniting for the first time for Dharma Productions' 'Brahmastra'.
"I know that Alia is at a superlative level in terms of her talent. The kind of dedication and love she has for her work is inspiring," he said.
Her commitment was rejuvenating and made him do better.
