Sanjay Leela Bhansali and Priyanka Chopra first collaborated in 2015 for Bajirao Mastani, and despite the latter's supporting role, it created magic.
Ever since there have been reports about her second collaboration with Bhansali.
While gossip mills were abuzz about Priyanka being roped in for Inshallah, Bhansali cleared the air that he is in talks with the diva for his another directorial Gangubai.

Giving his confirmation, Bhansali recently revealed that he is indeed in talks with the Mary Kom actor for his directorial.
The filmmaker was all praises for the story and stated that he is looking forward to working on it.
"I love the story, it's been with me for long and I'm keen to make the film. Priyanka and I are in talks," Bhansali added.

PeeCee had dropped hints about working with Bhansali on 'KWK6'
Reports about Priyanka and Bhansali's collaboration surfaced after she dropped hints about her upcoming movie on Koffee With Karan 6.
She stated that she is in talks with Bhansali and Vishal Bhardwaj for two scripts.
Soon, it was reported that she has been roped in for Bhansali's recently announced collaboration with Salman Khan.
However, the reports turned out to be mere rumors.

Probable reason: Salman didn't want to work with Priyanka
The reports were also rubbished after it was said that Salman didn't want to work with PeeCee.
Apparently, Salman was miffed with Priyanka for her sudden walk out of Bharat last year.
As a result, when Priyanka's name was being speculated for the main lead, Salman, reportedly, asked Bhansali to drop her.
Later, Alia Bhatt was taken aboard for Inshallah.

'Inshallah is a new chapter for me as a filmmaker'
Currently, Bhansali is busy working on Inshallah with Salman and Alia, which according to him is a "younger film."
Reportedly, he will begin shooting for it in December.
Talking about the same, Bhansali said, "It's the kind I have wanted to make for a long time after all the dark, intense, over dramatic ones. It is a new chapter for me as a filmmaker."

"I have to credit director Barry Levinson (Rain Man fame) for bringing this movie to me. He will be directing the project. He and his producers have been researching on this subject and developing it for the last few years. He approached me to develop it with him," Priyanka was quoted as saying.
