    PETA India slams Priyanka, Nick for using animals at wedding

    Amid the heartwarming messages and posts for the newly-wed couple, Nick Jonas and Priyanka Chopra, People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA) India decided to be a little "different" from the crowd.

    The organization today called out the couple for using elephants and horses at their wedding procession.

    Nick and Priyanka tied the knot as per Hindu traditions yesterday in Jodhpur.

    Nick and Priyanka are yet to respond to PETA's remarks

    PETA also, in the Twitter post, shared its video from four years ago, highlighting the woes of the animals, titled, Captive Elephants in Jaipur: PETA India's 2014 Inspection. The celebrity couple, which left Jodhpur today, is yet to respond to the remarks.

    Hypocrisy much?

    Priyanka lambasted for using firecrackers at her wedding

    Priyanka, who is a vocal asthmatic, was lambasted for hypocrisy after the sky was lit up with spectacular fireworks post the first nuptials.

    On Diwali, the actor, as a part of the campaign by Cipla, had urged people not to burn firecrackers and celebrate a pollution-free festival of lights.

    In the campaign, Priyanka had emphasized on the side effects of noise and air pollution.
