Manoj Bajpayee sells apartment for ₹9cr; still holds ₹31cr-worth properties
Bollywood actor Manoj Bajpayee and his wife Shabana Raza have reportedly sold their luxurious apartment in Mumbai's Mahalaxmi neighborhood for a staggering ₹9 crore. The couple had purchased the property, located in the Minerva residential tower, in 2013 for ₹6.4 crore, according to documents reviewed by real estate consultancy platform Square Yards. The apartment was bought by Praveen Jhanji and Saloni Jhanji, the report added.
The apartment has a 1,247sqft carpet area
The apartment reportedly has a carpet area of 1,247 square feet (116 sq meters) and comes with two car parking spaces covering a total of 240 square feet (22 sq meters). It is located on the 47th floor of the Minerva residential tower, which was built by Lokhandwala Kataria Constructions. The tower has been involved in controversies over delays in possession.
Bajpayees also invested in commercial estate last year
The Bajpayees had also invested ₹31 crore in four office units on the 12th floor of the Signature building, Oshiwara, last year. They paid a stamp duty of ₹1.86 crore for the deal, according to Floortap.com. Celebrities including Amitabh Bachchan, Kartik Aaryan, and Sara Ali Khan along with her mother Amrita Singh; and Ajay Devgn and wife Kajol have also acquired commercial space in the same project.
Bajpayees own another Mumbai apartment worth ₹10 crore
The Bajpayees currently live in a luxurious apartment in Oberoi Towers, Lokhandwala, Andheri. The estimated value of the property is ₹10 crore, according to NoBrokerHood. The house was reportedly designed by Shabana and includes a library, a small temple near the entrance, a den room with semicircular seating, a projector, and a mini multiplex. In 2021, the couple bought a house worth ₹4 crore in Oberoi Springs in Andheri.
