Best friend Manish Malhotra reveals his last conversation with Sridevi

Late Bollywood legend Sridevi's best friend Manish Malhotra has still not recovered from her loss.
The celebrity designer has penned a heartfelt note for Sridevi and revealed that he had spoken to her the night she died.
Malhotra's tribute has been published by the fashion magazine Vogue.
Sridevi left for the heavenly abode at the age of 54.

"We talked about everything under the sun"
Reminiscing his last conversation with the 'English Vinglish' star, Manish wrote, "I spoke to her the night she passed away. We talked about everything under the sun, from Janhvi's debut, how beautiful Khushi looked at the wedding to even what she had eaten earlier that day."
"Even now, I still expect my phone to ring and hear her discuss an outfit or a project."

"This is the first time I've lost someone so close, and it feels surreal. I'd known her for 28 years. We were at a wedding together and then, out of nowhere, her sister Srilatha was handing me a silk sari for her funeral," added Manish.

Sridevi never wished ill upon anyone, says Manish
Continuing to pour his heart out, Manish said that Sridevi was much more than just a beautiful face. She never indulged into gossiping or back bitching about anyone.
"I realize gossip never entered our conversations. We talked about clothes, food, movies, all the good things in life. She never wished ill upon anyone, or remarked upon her contemporaries."

"It's funny how life comes full circle. I used to make little cholis and ghagras for the girls when they were younger. Now I'm working with Janhvi on her debut. Much like her mother, she's a bundle of talent and discipline," Manish said.

Sridevi's untimely demise shook the entire nation
Sridevi breathed her last on the fateful night of February 24. She was found dead in the bathtub of her hotel room in Dubai by her husband Boney Kapoor.
She had gone there to attend the wedding of her relative Mohit Marwah along with Boney and her younger daughter Khushi.
The late actress is regarded as India's first female superstar.
