Cannes 2024: Lily Gladstone, Eva Green, more join jury

The Cannes Film Festival has unveiled the eight distinguished individuals who will join Greta Gerwig—the previously announced president—on the main Competition jury for its 77th edition.
They are Turkish screenwriter and photographer Ebru Ceylan, Hollywood actors Lily Gladstone and Eva Green, Lebanese director Nadine Labaki, Spanish director JA Bayona, Italian actor Pierfrancisco Favino, Japanese director Hirokazu Kore-eda, and French actor Omar Sy.
The festival is scheduled to take place from May 14 to 25.

French actor Eva Green transitioned from theatre to cinema with Bernardo Bertolucci's Innocents: The Dreamers.
She has worked with Ridley Scott in the Kingdom of Heaven.

Lebanese director and screenwriter Labaki clinched the Cannes Jury Prize in 2018 for Capernaum.
Her association with Cannes began in 2004 when she participated in its La Résidence de la Cinéfondation program.
Additionally, Spanish director Bayona made his debut with The Orphanage, which premiered in Cannes Critics' Week in 2007.
His film The Impossible bagged five Goya Awards, including Best Director.
His most recent film, Society of the Snow, won 12 Goya Awards.
