Notorious wanted criminal identified in Salman Khan shooting incident

A significant development has emerged in the recent shooting incident outside Bollywood superstar Salman Khan's residence.
Reports indicate that one of the two shooters has been identified as Vishal Rahul, a notorious criminal from Gurugram, Haryana.
Known for his association with gangster Rohit Godara, Rahul is also linked to the infamous Lawrence Bishnoi gang, which has been after Khan's life for the past few years.
The incident occurred in the wee hours of Sunday morning outside Khan's Galaxy Apartments.

Looking at Rahul's criminal history
Per India Today, Rahul, a high school dropout, has a criminal history involving multiple murders and robberies in Haryana.
He has been implicated in over five criminal cases in Gurugram and Delhi.
His most recent crime was a bookie's murder in Rohtak, allegedly at Lawrence's behest, which also injured the bookie's mother.
The murder was also captured on CCTV.
Reportedly, he was involved in another murder in Rohtak in February and businessman Sachin Munjal's murder in March.

Anmol Bishnoi claimed responsibility for the shooting
Following the shooting, Anmol Bishnoi, brother of incarcerated gangster Lawrence Bishnoi, claimed responsibility for the act on social media.
Anmol's Hindi post roughly translated to, "We desire peace, but if the decision against injustice is through war, then so be it. Salman, we fired at your house to show you a trailer so you understand our strength and do not test us. This is our first and final warning."
"After this, bullets won't miss your empty house."

Gunshots were heard near Khan's residence
The nation woke up to the shocking news of gunshots being heard near the Mumbai abode of Khan on Sunday morning.
According to police reports cited by ANI, around 5:00am, two unidentified individuals on a motorcycle fired several rounds into the air before fleeing the scene.
According to the Mumbai Crime Branch, an empty shell was found inside the residence of the actor. The investigation is currently underway.

Multiple police teams are investigating the case
Following the shooting outside Khan's residence, multiple teams from Delhi Police, Crime Branch, and Special Cell have initiated investigations.
The Haryana Police are also involved due to Rahul's ties to the state.
Meanwhile, a source close to the Khan family spoke to Times Now on Sunday and revealed, "Bhai is not bothered about his own life. But he is very scared of harm coming to his family members."
History
History of threats and Bishnois' anger toward Khan
Khan has been at the receiving end of multiple threats in the past few years.
Last year, the National Investigation Agency (NIA) revealed Khan's prominent placement on a target list meticulously curated by Lawrence.
Notably, the brothers' ire stems from the infamous 1998 incident involving Khan's alleged hunting of a blackbuck, an act deemed disrespectful to the Bishnoi community since they consider blackbucks sacred.
