What's the story
The revamped version of Ekta Kapoor's Kasautii Zindagii Kay has been in the limelight since its 2018 launch. Evidently, fans have loved the new faces playing their favorite characters.
While the show is all set to say goodbye to Komolika aka Hina Khan, Ekta is planning to bring back another iconic character, Mr. Bajaj, from the original run, a search for which is on.

KZK2 fans were filled with anticipation and suspense after Ekta confirmed that she has begun the search for new Mr. Bajaj.
She posted an old video of Prerna (Shweta Tiwari) dancing with her second husband, Mr. Bajaj (Ronit Roy).
"The time has come ! To say bye to @ronitboseroy as d iconic mr bajaj ! N d search for d new one@begins," Ekta wrote.

Cameo turned to a series regular after growing popularity
Notably, Ronit is among the many television stars who owes their success to Ekta.
Mr. Bajaj, which was a cameo, became a regular role after the liking for the character grew.
After the fame, Ronit landed the role of Mihir Virani in Ekta's biggest hit, Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi .
He is currently working in ALTBalaji's Kehne Ko Humsafar Hain.

Reacting to Ekta's post, Hina expressed her disappointment as she won't be able to meet the new Mr. Bajaj.
Erica Fernandes, who plays Prerna, like many fans, curiously commented on Ekta's post asking who'll be playing him.
As the suspense over who will be cast as Bajaj has increased, fans have suggested several names to Ekta including, Hiten Tejwani, Nakuul Mehta and Kushal Tandon.

Although the original run of KZK came to an end over a decade back in 2008, the chemistry between Prerna (Shweta Tiwari) and Anurag (Cezanne Khan) is still etched in the hearts of their fans.
