    What's the story

    In a first, filmmaker Imtiaz Ali and producer Ekta Kapoor have joined hands to recreate the classic tale of Laila and Majnu.

    The evergreen story of the star-crossed lovers will be given a fresh spin to make it relevant for the youth. The film is titled as 'Laila Majnu.'

    A product of Imtiaz's school of romance

    Set in modern-day Kashmir, the film stars two newcomers groomed by Imtiaz Ali.

    'Laila Majnu' will also mark the directorial debut of Imtiaz's brother, Sajid Ali.

    The 'Jab We Met' director has written the story as well as co-written the screenplay of the film.

    The film is slated to hit the screens on May 4, 2018.
