    What's the story

Producer Ekta Kapoor who forayed into the digital space recently is all set to make a web series on ISRO's Mars mission, Mangalyaan.

The television queen recently visited Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) in Bengaluru, as part of her research for her latest series. It is based on the Mars Orbiter Mission that was launched in November 2013.

    Here's more!

    Details

The web series will be based on real life incidents

Inspired by real-life events, the show will focus on the three women scientists who were the force behind making Mangalyaan a reality. The scientists are Seetha Somasundaram, Nandini Harinath and Minal Rohit.

The series will be directed by Nupur Asthana, who also accompanied Ekta on her visit to the space research centre in Bengaluru.

The shooting of the series will begin soon.

    Women-centric

Is Alt Balaji making women-centric shows?

Women have always played strong characters in all of Ekta Kapoor's series; she has maintained that tradition even in her web series.

From 'Test Case' which centres around a female army officer to 'Mangalyaan' based on the contribution of female scientists, Alt Balaji is surely one for women empowerment.

    Happy watching, folks!
