HBO hackers leak Game of Thrones Season 7 finale

The HBO as well as Game of Thrones have had a dismal year, but hackers didn't even spare the season 7 finale of the hugely popular show.
After several of its episodes got leaked before time, hackers calling themselves "Mr Smith" have now leaked the climax of the ultimate episode a day before its airing.
Mashable has termed it the "sixth wave of leaks".

What does the leaked plot reveal?
According to Mashable, the plot summary reveals crucial details of exactly how the season will end.
"Mashable has read the summary but has chosen not to publish the explicit details," it said.
Suspense is running high this season with the three most popular contenders for the 'Iron Throne' expected to come together in the finale.
The hackers have demanded $6.5mn in bitcoins from HBO.
Details
The Mr. Smith group stole 1.5 terabytes worth of data
The Mr. Smith group was responsible for the original hacking of HBO in which they stole 1.5 terabytes worth of data.
Among the data stolen was the Game of Thrones script and details of HBO employees.
According to recent reports, the group has even more information including login credentials for the official HBO, Game of Thrones, and Westworld Twitter accounts.

HBO has refused to pay up. It anticipates the hackers will continue to leak more classified information.
The hackers claimed to have sold 5TB of material to "three customers in deep web" at half the ransom they had demanded.
"We will leak many many waves of HBO's internal stuff to punish them for playing us and set an example of greedy corporation," they warned.
