    What's the story

The latest trailer for Sony Pictures's Kraven the Hunter has been released, showcasing Aaron Taylor-Johnson's ruthless character.

The film, directed by J.C. Chandor, is based on the Marvel Comics character who first appeared in 1964.

The movie also features Ariana DeBose, Fred Hechinger, Alessandro Nivola, Christopher Abbott, and Russell Crowe in pivotal roles.

It is set to hit theaters on December 13.

    Movie plot

'Kraven the Hunter' delves into Sergei Kravinoff's transformation

The film follows the story of Sergei Kravinoff (Taylor-Johnson), who is abandoned by his hunter father (played by Crowe) after a lion attack.

The lion's bite seemingly grants Sergei superhuman abilities, leading him to become Kraven the Hunter.

He then uses his newfound powers and brutal methods to defend the animal kingdom.

The new trailer intensifies the action and bloodshed, offering a glimpse of Taylor-Johnson's impressive physique. The clip teases more of Alessandro Nivola's character, Aleksei Sytsevich aka Rhino.

    Actor's perspective

When Taylor-Johnson shared why 'Kraven the Hunter' appealed to him

In an earlier interview with Rolling Stone U.K., Taylor-Johnson shared why he was drawn to the Marvel movie Kraven the Hunter.
