    What's the story

Tamil superstar Vijay's latest movie, The Greatest of All Time (GOAT), is all set to make its digital debut on Netflix.

The film, which features Vijay in dual roles, is a sci-fi action thriller directed by Venkat Prabhu and produced by AGS Entertainment. It was released in theaters worldwide on September 5, 2024.

This is one of Vijay's last releases before his much-anticipated political debut.

    Release details

'GOAT' to stream on Netflix from October 3

Netflix has secured the OTT rights for GOAT. The movie will be available for streaming on the platform from October 3, 2024, as per recent reports.

During the film's promotional events, director Venkat Prabhu announced that a director's cut, featuring about 20 minutes of deleted scenes, will be released on Netflix after its theatrical run.

    Plot

Vijay plays a spy in 'GOAT'

In GOAT, Vijay essays the role of Gandhi, a seasoned hostage negotiator, field agent, and spy for the Special Anti-Terrorist Squad (SATS). He collaborates closely with R&AW.

Despite being deeply devoted to his wife and son, he faces unexpected challenges after years of retirement.

Now, Gandhi and his three-member SATS team must deal with the fallout of their past missions.

    Cast and crew

'GOAT' features a star-studded cast and crew

Apart from Vijay, who plays dual roles as M. S. Gandhi and Jeevan Gandhi/Sanjay Menon, the cast of GOAT includes Prashanth as Sunil Thiagarajan, Prabhu Deva as Kalyan Sundaram, and Sneha as Anuradha Gandhi.

The film is directed by Prabhu, with the screenplay co-written by Ezhilarasu Gunasekaran and K. Chandru.

The dialogues are penned by Viji, while the music is composed by Yuvan Shankar Raja.
